Antonio Genovesi Foundation

  Description:

  The Antonio Genovesi Salerno Foundation is anon-profit organization of Higher Education and Research, acknowledged by the MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research). The Foundation promotes – directlyor in collaboration with public, private, national and foreign entities – the development of the management culture and its techniques through training and research activities. It also assistsentrepreneurs, businesses and Public Administration using advanced techniques of management, participating in the processes of socio-economic development and contributing to the reduction of unemployment. Established in 1986, December 18 by Vittorio Paravia with Confindustria, Intersind (IRI) and Asap (ENI) and a group of public and private entities. In 1991, December 23its Statutewas approvedby decree of MIUR, registered at the Corte dei Conti on 1992, June 8, Reg.10 FG. 27 and published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic n. 156 on 1992, July 4. From 2001, the Foundation is entered (final code 51883HAE) in the MIUR national register of research. 

In 1987, the Foundation has set up a permanent training center, SDOA - School of Business Management and Organization. In the same year it joined, as an ordinary member, ASFOR (the  Italian Association for Management Developement) that collects the most prominent Business Schools and Corporate Universities in Italy and in 1991, the Foundation is among the first eight institutions obtained the accreditation of the Master in General Management by ASFOR, currently at the 27th edition.
From 1997 to 2001, first with the IG S.p.A. and then with Sviluppo Italia S.p.A. (current INVITALIA S.p.A.) has carried out training activities aimed at creating business for about 1,400 entrepreneurs, of which about 800 have obtained the decree for starting new businesses and SDOA provided their assistance to start up for the first year.

From 1998, the Foundation has the Quality System certification according to UNI EN ISO9001. The quality system of the Foundation is currently certified by Certi W according to ISO 9001:2008 (certificate no. IT.13.0140.QMS expiring November 23, 2016). In 2002 received by the President of the Republic the Silver Plaque in recognition of its high value. From 2003 is Test Centre accredited by AICA (Italian Association for Informatics and Automatic Calculus) for the release of the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
In 29 years of activity the Foundation has done 326 specific educational projects for a total of 131,519 hours, which involved 5,104 units (university students, managers, entrepreneurs and public administrators, employed and unemployed), for which 2,921 internships – organizedby the Foundation at the end of its courses in major national and international companies – have turnedinto labor relations (job placement/outplacement 58%).
